SOS to Finger Lakes Area Artists - Save Our Seneca!

The Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association, Inc (SLPWA) is putting out an SOS to Finger Lakes Area Artists!  Helps us save our Seneca (SOS) with a donation of your art created on a life preserver!  All art will be displayed online and at our annual meeting in late August with a Silent Auction (proceeds to benefit the mission of SLPWA).  If you need SLPWA to provide you with a life ring/preserver, contact Linda Hiestand at lhiestand@rochester.rr.com or 315-535-7768 to register by May 15.  If you are providing our own life ring or a replication of one through your choice of medium, contact Linda to register by May 30.  On June 1, the life rings will be delivered and distributed to those who registered for one.  All life ring art must be delivered to SLPWA on August 1 (place TBA).

Project guidelines: 
Pieces must start with a life ring 18" or larger.  Make your own, recycle one, get one from us.  Any media is acceptable.  Your choice ofr use indoors or outdoors.  The wording of "SOS" and/or "Save Our Seneca" must be visible on the artwork.  Work can be influenced by an American artist, ie. Georgia O'Keefe, Winslow Homer, Arthur Dove, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Grandma Moses, etc.  Using an American artist as a starting point is NOT a requirement.  Work should be ready to hang; please sign your name somewhere on the art; your contribution is tax deductible (forms will be sent to you upon receipt of artwork).
